Harmony Korine’s 2009 short film CRUTCHNAP

As explained by the unofficial Harmony Korine fan site, today’s video entitled Crutchnap is:

“…a 42-second film directed by Harmony Korine and released in September of 2009. The film is part of a project entitled ONEDREAMRUSH, a creation of the New Zealand vodka company 42Below that invited various individuals to create 42-second videos exploring dreams.”

Korine, unsurprisingly, went with the nightmare route for exploring dreams in this case, producing a brief but unsettling micro-movie in the vein of surreal – or perhaps hyperreal – horror (in some ways similar to his feature-length opus Trash Humpers released the same year).
